Fish Fingers is located right across the channel from the resort with a soft sandy bottom. It is a perfect small peak that peels mostly right but a little left too. At Fish Fingers you can learn to surf or teach the kids with a selection of soft-top learner surf boards available for use free of charge!

Who is Considered a Beginner Surfer?

Beginner surfers are those that have never surfed before or have very limited experience and have never surfed a reef break! If you know how to surf or plan to bring your own equipment, you must book as a surfing guest. Beginner surfers are permitted to surf at Fish Fingers wave only, using the soft-top learning boards only. Beginners are not permitted to surf any other waves unless the surf guide considers they have advanced to a level of competence that will allow them to surf these breaks in a safe manner. The opportunity to advance to a more challenging wave is at the sole discretion of our surf guides, for your safety.

What Waves can a Beginner Surfer Surf?

Beginners are permitted to surf at Fish Fingers only initially. If a beginner wishes to surf intermediate waves such as Mini Macas or Silabu Left, they must pay for a surf board rental. Soft top surfboards are not permitted at any surf break other than Fishfingers. The surf guide will accompany surfers advancing to reef breaks for the first time.
